Young Professionals Get Together and HR Industry Event.
The “Young Professionals Get Together” was organized by a former Primorial Solutions employee who is also the founder of the Young Professionals Hub, Oyena Dyasi. The gathering took place on the 1st of July 2023 from 10am to 3pm at BDO offices. The whole event was centered around Networking, Personal branding and simply encouraging each other within our respective fields. 30 young professionals were invited, many had a lot to share regarding their professional journey, thus a great deal of attendees left the event motivated.
The event also accommodated students, Managers, Trainees and young unemployed adults. The “Get Together Event” gave unemployed young individuals an opportunity to network and engage with the professionals that are within their fields. Some of the factors that were emphasized include discipline in the workplace, taking ownership of one’s personal development, having a great work ethic and being intentional in one’s work.
Overall the event was very informative and a lot of knowledge was shared to young professionals as there are still on their own professional journey.
HR Industry Event
On the 5th of July 2023, I was invited to an HR Industry Event in Sandton, The Woodlands Office Park. The event had HR professionals from various fields, this included HR Managers, HR administrators, Payroll specialists, HR Officers, HR Business Partners, Recruitment managers, HR Practitioners, HR Assistants, HR Systems Analysts, HR Generalists, Talent acquisition Manager, HR Consultants, HR Operations Managers and HR Directors.
As a young HR professional, being at the event was very astonishing because of the knowledge that was available for me to learn from all the HR professionals. Some of the topics that were discussed involves Recruitment, Interviews, Compiling data, How to target potential employees, Data analytics and screening of employees.
This was a great event and it really has provided a huge insight on Human Resources Management.
